Capacitea Ltd, founded by two young tea enthusiasts Xu & Bo in London. The brand focuses on delivering quality Chinese teas only. Influenced by China’s rich tea heritage, the founders aim to enlighten that quality tea is not only a beverage; it is an experience in itself.
We spoke with Bo to discover the inspiration behind Capacitea and more about their range of traditional Chinese teas.
We have officially launched Capacitea in 2016 Food Matters Live exhibition in ExCel London. The inspiration was: Bringing the world authentic Chinese tea, bringing the highest standard of tea to people.
Keep my mind busy learning from other good packaging designs and reflecting on ours has been my favourite part of building our brand so far. There are so many great successful brands out there in the market for me to study. How to accurately communicate the branding message through the product is not easy, as you have to dig deep to find out what’s behind your product that connects you to consumers.
I would say “Darkorse Tea”; “Pu’erh Tea”, and “Blooming Tea” are the best selling product.
Chinese tea has become popular in recent years, and there is potential growth in the UK marketplace. Consumers are switching from black tea in flat tea bags to various Chinese teas because of the more advantageous health benefits. The blooming teas are getting popular, the enjoyment of brewing such teas can be entertaining, according to our customers: “They were stunning and impressive to watch as the beauty of the flowers was revealed with each passing moment.”
Capacitea, the Chinese tea specialist only focuses on Chinese tea. No chemicals are used to enhance the flavour for a pure and natural beverage.
We will be concentrating on business wholesale; expand selling channels in the UK and then America.
There is an exclusive Capacitea 20% discount code on DigVouchers, so try their range of traditional Chinese teas or teaware for yourself, or they make a perfect gift.
We’re excited to follow the journey and continued success of Capacitea.
